Keep in mind: Pension file W.19932, Calvin Oak of Athens, Vt. (died 8 or 10 Nov 1815), widow Lucretia (Fuller). Fold3 record 25086452, NARA M804, 33 images. The file is a Confirmed record of Calvin Oak of Athens; his identification as the son of Seth Oak (and as the Calvin Oak born 1758) is Likely, because no page names his father (the widow only believes he served a year under Capt. Seth Oaks, which the Pension Office did not allow). A marginal note reads '1849 Athens [illegible] previous[ly] Leominster Mass.'.
