Gravestone of Elizabeth, wife of Elisha Evans, in a grass lot with lilac in flower. Photograph supplied in the family tree under the title 'Elizabeth Evens'.
Image · source: Owner's family tree media (supplied in the GEDCOM/FTM collection)
How it is shown: Photograph as supplied; no crop, no retouch.
Keep in mind: A photograph, not a document. The stone is old and the lettering is small; only the words 'wife of' and a surname that reads Evens or Evans are legible at this size. The tree attaches it to Elizabeth Jane 'Betsy' Howland (1804-1862), wife of Elisha Evans (1804-1879), which fits a wife's stone. Identity of the marker: Likely.
