How it is shown: Complete page from the viewer; no crop, no retouch, no highlight.

Keep in mind: What the page says: Confirmed from the clean image. Header: Exeter, Penobscot County, Maine, enumerated the 13th day of August 1850 by Isaac Hodsdon, Asst Marshal; dwelling 145, family 152, lines 9-11: Samuel Oak, 33, male, real estate $1,000, born Maine (ditto marks); Lucinda, 29, female; Charles, 1, male. Samuel's occupation cell holds a ditto-style mark in this view; earlier notes read it as farmer. The 1850 census has no relationship column, so wife and son are inferred from the household. The neighbouring households are Batchelder, Hoar and Hill families; no Oak household other than Samuel's is on this page. Whether these are our people: Likely, not Confirmed. Samuel Oak, 33, born Maine, at Exeter fits the tree's Samuel Oak (about 1817-1900) and Lucinda, 29, fits Lucinda Allen (b. 1820, so about 29-30).
