How it is shown: Complete page as supplied; no crop, no retouch, no search highlight.
Keep in mind: What the page says: Confirmed: 'Oakes, Nathaniel, Bolton. Private, Capt. Benjamin Hastings's co., Col. John Whitcomb's regt., which marched on the alarm of April 19, 1775, to Cambridge; service, 18 days.' The rest of the page lists other Oakes men (Jonathan, Joshua, Josiah and Levi) who are not tagged. Whether this is our person: Likely, not Confirmed, that this is the tree's Nathaniel Oak (1751-1840), who married at Bolton in 1773 and later lived at Chelsea, Vermont: the page gives a name and a town only. A second, separate Bolton entry for a Nathaniel Oak in 1780 is on p. 598 and is not this entry.
