How it is shown: Complete image as supplied; no crop, no retouch, no search highlight.
Keep in mind: Copyist's abstract of an original roll, not the roll itself; the copyist's name is uncertain. The card's Nathaniel Oak, Wingate's New Hampshire Regiment, Capt. William Humphrey's company, 1776, matches the company and regiment named in the pensioner's own sworn declaration (S.18534, 21 Aug 1832) and in Asa Bond's affidavit. Identification with Nathaniel Oak (1751-1840) is Likely, resting on that match; the card names no residence.
