How it is shown: Photograph as held; no crop, no retouch.
Keep in mind: A photograph of a marker, not a document. The stone gives the name, rank, unit and both dates, which match Bert Von Russell (1886-1954) in the tree; the stone itself reads Maine and does not name the cemetery. Identity of the marker: Confirmed by name and dates on the stone.
