Story · source: provenance not confirmed

Rellim James (Jimmy) Miller III, 31, died Wednesday, October 22, 2003. Jimmy was born in Houston, Texas on February 12, 1972 to Rellim James Miller Jr. and Margery Clarkson Miller.

Jimmy graduated from Bellaire High School in 1990, and received his Associate Degree in Automotive Technology from San Jacinto College in 1992. He won numerous awards, scholarships and certificates in auto mechanics. He worked for Dresser Rand Corporation as a Steam Turbine Mechanic after having worked for several Houston area Ford dealerships as an auto mechanic.

Jimmy loved being with family and friends, working on vintage Ford Mustangs, and fishing or Dove hunting. He was a loving and involved husband and father who helped others in any capacity he could. Jimmy was especially good at making those around him laugh with a quick witty comment and contagious smile. His mechanical abilities were uncanny and Jimmy not only enjoyed opportunities to give helpful advice to those around him, but often volunteered to assist as well.

Jimmy was an honest man with a kind heart. He was a Christian who actively participated with his wife in a couple’s bible study group. He belonged to Young Life in high school, volunteering at Frontier in Colorado.

He was preceded in death by Grandfather Herbert S. Clarkson and Grandmothers; Cissie L. Chambliss and Mary Thompson. He is survived by his wife, Laura Kelley Miller; her son, Zachary Douglas Bloomfield; his daughter, Alexandria Taylor Miller; their son, Brendan James Miller; grandfather, Rellim James Miller Sr. and wife, Betty Miller; father, Rellim James Miller Jr.; mother, Margery McKinnon; stepmother, Lynn B.
