Keep in mind: What the page says: Richd H. Chisolm is 57 (first read 51; the reviewer and E read 57, and the image shows a hooked 7), farmer, b. Georgia, real estate $15,000; Hardina [possibly Hardena; the reading is uncertain] 46 b. Tennessee; Thornton 19; Bradford 14; Maryann 8; the infant Richard is 7 months (7/12, not 6/12), all b. Texas; the last line is a laborer aged 25 b. Maryland whose surname is unclear (Emery, Enrey or Emrey). The 1850 census has no relationship column, so no relationship is stated, and 'Ann' does not appear. Whether these are our people: Likely, not Confirmed. The names, the Texas place and the children's ages fit the tree's Richard Henry Chisholm, Hardena Taylor, Glen Thornton and Bradford Chisholm, but age 57 gives a birth about 1793, not the tree's 1799, and the page does not give Hardena's maiden name. Maryann (8) is tagged to the tree's Mary Ann 'Annie' Chisholm (b. 1842) on name and age only; that she is the Ann Kelso (20) of the 1860 census is only Likely and is not shown by this page. Not tagged: the infant Richard (the tree's Richard Chisholm is b. 1830) and the laborer.

Keep in mind: What the page says: the stamped number is 38231; death 24 Nov 1925, 1 p.m., chronic heart disease of five years; burial at Mission Burial Park on 25 Nov 1925 (an early reading gave 26 Nov; later readings and the filing date agree on 25 Nov); filed 25 Nov 1925; attended by Homer R. Wilson, M.D., from 10 to 24 Nov; undertaker Wilbert & Pelphrey; residence 19 years in San Antonio. The informant signs 'Winchester Kelso, Jr.'; the form does not say 'son'. The mother's birthplace (Kentucky) is the informant's statement; the 1860 census gives Ann's birth as Texas. (Only if this Ann Chisholm is the tree's Mary Ann 'Annie' Chisholm, whose tree death date is 1878, was the statement made 47 years after her death: that rests on the Likely identification below.) Whether these are our people: Confirmed that the decedent is the Judge Winchester Kelso of the 25 Nov 1925 San Antonio obituaries (same name, birth date 24 May 1858 in DeWitt County, death 24 Nov 1925, 107 W. Craig). Likely, not Confirmed: John Roebuck Kelso is the tree's John Roebuck Kelso (full name matches); 'Ann Chisholm' is the tree's Mary Ann 'Annie' Chisholm (1842-1878), by first name and her marriage to John R. Kelso, not by a document that names both; the informant is the tree's Winchester Kelso II (1895-1965), because the obituaries name a son Winchester Kelso Jr.
