Source: The Ville Platte Gazette, 26 May 1983, via Newspapers.com
How it is shown: Clipped obituary as supplied; the clipping stops partway through the list of survivors; no retouch.
Keep in mind: What the page says: Confirmed: 'Mrs. Dea Hollier, the former Dea Aucoin, 88, of Ville Platte, who died Friday, May 20', with burial in the Sacred Heart mausoleum; the survivors named are three sons, James Miller, Luther Miller and Ralph Miller, and a daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Fontenot of (the clipping ends here). The rest of the survivors list is not in this image. It gives her married name as Hollier and does not name a husband. Whether these are our people: Confirmed for Dea Aucoin (1894-1983): the former name, the age of 88 and the year of death match the tree, and the three sons' names match her children there. Likely, not Confirmed, that James and Luther Miller are the tree's James Rellim Miller Sr. and Luther Calvin Miller (same mother, first names and surname only on the page); Ralph Miller is the tree's Ralph Waldo Miller by the same reasoning. Dorothy Fontenot is named but not otherwise identified.
