How it is shown: Complete page as supplied; no crop, no retouch.

Keep in mind: What the page says: Confirmed: three signatures stand under 'Yours &c': Wm Brown, Asa Mitchell and Wm H. Wharton. A 'Mitchell' is also named in the body as one of 'Mitchell & Chase', whose provisions were to be removed; the page does not say whether that is the same Mitchell as the signer. Page 3 is a further paragraph signed by Wharton alone. Whether this is our person: Likely, not Confirmed, that the Asa Mitchell of this letter is the tree's Asa Columbus Mitchell (1795-1865): a settler of that name in the Brazoria area in 1832 fits his land grants there and his part in the Battle of Velasco in 1832, but the letter gives no middle name, age or family.
