This story is about someone or something else, and names Edward Milewski.
Edward Joseph Milewski was born in Manayunk, Philadelphia, grew up in Harrison, New Jersey, served in the Marine Corps in the Second World War and spent more than thirty years at RCA's Harrison plant.
Edward was born on January 10, 1921, in Manayunk, the mill district of Philadelphia, the son of John Frank Milewski and Josephine Sobacz (draft card; Social Security claim). The Milewskis were living in Harrison, New Jersey, by 1935, and the 1940 census finds them at 409 William Street: Edward, 19, a salesman's helper with two years of high school, living with his parents, his older brother John, his sister and his little brother (1940 census).

The draft card gives the birth date and place; his parents' names come from his Social Security claim. The census lists his siblings, who are not named here.
When he registered for the draft on February 16, 1942, he was working for the RCA Corporation in Harrison and gave his mother, Mrs. Josephine Milewski, as his next of kin (draft card).

Confirmed
Edward married Annunziata "Nancy" DiSanto of Irvington in 1943 (marriage index). He enlisted in the Marine Corps on August 23, 1943, as service number 886391, and trained with the Seventh Recruit Battalion at Parris Island that October. He was honorably discharged from the Separation Battalion at Camp Lejeune on July 3, 1946 (VA death file; muster rolls).

The marriage index gives the year only. The enlistment and discharge dates are from the VA's death file; the muster rolls place him at Parris Island in October 1943 and at Camp Lejeune in July 1946.
After the war Edward and Nancy settled in Irvington. In 1950 they lived on Harper Avenue with their young son, and Edward was a stock clerk at a radio tube factory (1950 census). His obituary says he was a chemical store keeper for RCA in Harrison for 32 years, retiring about 1978, and that he was financial secretary of the union local at RCA and a past commander of American Legion Post 99 in Kearny (Star-Ledger, 19 Feb 1981).

The 1950 census and the obituary agree on factory work in the radio-tube industry; the obituary is the source for the years at RCA and his union and Legion posts.
Edward died at home in Irvington on February 18, 1981, aged 60. His funeral was held from the James F. Caffrey and Son funeral home on Lyons Avenue, with a Mass at St. Paul the Apostle Church (Star-Ledger, 19 Feb 1981; death index). He was survived by two sons, two daughters, a sister and two brothers.

The obituary names his children and siblings; they are not named here.
