How it is shown: Complete entry and signatures as supplied; no retouch, no search highlight. The page number and entry number come from the register's citation, not from the cropped image.
Keep in mind: What the page says: Confirmed: the entry reads as described above. The bride's occupation and the groom's trade are struck through and rewritten (the groom's reads 'Spirit Dealer'); the bride's age is given only as 'Minor'. Whether these are our people: Confirmed that this is the tree's William Clarkson and Emma Lucy Green: the 6 July 1854 marriage at St Paul's, the bride's name and her father William Green all match. The entry is a direct statement that William's father was Thomas Clarkson, a brewer, which the tree had carried as Likely from a secondary source.

How it is shown: Page as supplied, cut off just below the Clarkson row; no retouch, no search highlight.
Keep in mind: What the page says: Confirmed: the last visible row reads 'June 22nd, William Banton, William & Emma, Clarkson, 32 Great Mersey Street, Brewer'. The entry number 989 and the lower edge of the row are cut off at the foot of the image; the clergyman's name is difficult to read and is not relied on. The father is a brewer here and a spirit dealer in the 1854 marriage entry; both are trades and the two entries do not conflict. Whether this is our person: Confirmed that this is the tree's William Banton Clarkson (1858-1933): the child's full name, the parents' names William and Emma, and the 1858 date agree with the 1854 St Paul's marriage of William Clarkson and Emma Lucy Green.
