How to read this page

Sex is as recorded in the family tree. Age at death is worked out from the dates shown and may be a range or an approximation. It is left out when a date is missing or is only a “before”, “after” or “between” date, when the research has found a date Unconfirmed, when the two dates conflict, or when they would mean an age over 110.

Military serviceConfirmed lieutenant of the west parish company of Fairfield in May 1715 and captain of the Greens Farms company in October 1727, by the Connecticut General Assembly, 1715-1727
Confirmed evidence: show why

Why: Public Records vol. 5 p. 505 (May 1715) and vol. 7 p. 125 (Oct 1727). The gravestone photograph reads 'Cap. Thomas Nash' but its date is too worn to read, so it is supporting only. A later Thomas Nash, ensign in 1744, is most likely his son. No combat or other service is known.
