A “family recollection” label marks something a relative remembered, not a written record.
A military-service label rates the record of that service, not the whole life.
Sex is as recorded in the family tree. Age at death is worked out from the dates shown and may be a range or an approximation. It is left out when a date is missing or is only a “before”, “after” or “between” date, when the research has found a date Unconfirmed, when the two dates conflict, or when they would mean an age over 110.
Why: The 1850 DeWitt County census has Richd H. Chisolm (57, Georgia), Hardena (46, Tennessee) and a daughter Maryann (8, Texas), which fits the tree's Mary Ann 'Annie' born about 1842; Ann Chisholm married John R. Kelso in DeWitt County on 14 Aug 1856 (index). No record seen names Ann as Richard's daughter. Conflicts: the 1860 census gives Ann as 20 (born about 1840), not 18; Winchester Kelso's death certificate gives his mother's birthplace as Kentucky, while the census says Texas. The marriage record, Richard H. Chisholm's probate (died 1855) or Ann's own death record would settle it.

Why: Winchester Kelso's Texas death certificate (no. 38231) names his father as John Roebuck Kelso (born Tennessee) and his mother's maiden name as Ann Chisholm; the 1860 census has John R. Kelso, Ann and Winchester (2) in one DeWitt County household. The tree calls her Mary Ann 'Annie'; the certificate and the 1856 marriage index say Ann.

BET 1840 AND 1842, Texas, USA Likely evidence: show why
Why: The 1850 census (age 8) points to 1842, and the 1860 (20) and 1870 (30) censuses to about 1840; all three give Texas. De Witt County was formed only in 1846. Her son Winchester's 1925 death certificate names her Ann Chisholm.
