Mehitable Rediat

1645–1702 · Female · died at 56

How to read this page

Sex is as recorded in the family tree. Age at death is worked out from the dates shown and may be a range or an approximation. It is left out when a date is missing or is only a “before”, “after” or “between” date, when the research has found a date Unconfirmed, when the two dates conflict, or when they would mean an age over 110.

Overview

The research rejects this person as a parent of Mary Oak 1710–1805; the family tree's link is not shown. See the reasons on that page.

Life events

Born26 Dec 1645, Sudbury, Massachusetts
Confirmed evidence: show why

Why: The Sudbury birth records (p. 116, read on the page image) list 'Mehetebell, d. John and Ann, Dec. 26, 1645' under the spelling Radiat. The tree's 24 December is not what the page reads, and the 1906 register's year 1646 is a year late. The identification with Nathaniel Oak's first wife rests on John Rediat's will, which names 'Mehitable, his d. w. of Nathaniel Oakes' (Savage), and on there being no other Mehitable in the Rediat family.
